A History of Rotary and Rotary Watches
The Rotary Watch Company was founded by Moise Dreyfuss in 1895 in the small Swiss town of La Chaux-de-fonds. Within twelve years, Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss opened an office in Britain to import the families Rotary watches.
The company continued to grow, and in 1925 they introduced the now famous Rotary logo, the "winged wheel". This mark may be found on all Rotary watches and remains virtually untouched from the original 1925 design. In 1940, Rotary watches were appointed official supplier to the British Army and have supplied our fighting men and women with quality timepieces for over 60 years.
In 2005 Rotary announced the launch of ‘Dolphin Standard’ enabling you to swim and dive all day with your watch. Unlike most other watchmakers Rotary remain a family run business to this day. Rotary's continuing success is based on the principles of quality, service and committed to the customer laid down by the founder. Rotary's current designs represent the contemporary, yet classic style and designed with remarkable quality and precision. |
